Tor Win32 Install Instructions sagte:

If you want to run Tor in the system tray and/or as a service have a look at this (3.19) FAQ entry.

Zitat

3.19. In Win32 is there a way to run Tor in the system tray and/or as a service?

Yes, you can run Tor as a service on all versions of Windows except Windows 95/98/ME.

First, be sure that you're running the latest Tor version. The 0.0.9.x series does not support services.

If you have a server running before you run Tor as a service, please note that it will use a different datadirectory, and thus will generate a different key. So if you register your service and then service-ize it the fingerprint you sent won't be valid anymore.

To install Tor as a service, just place your torrc in the same folder as your executable and run:

  tor -install

A service called Tor Win32 Service will be installed and started. This service will also automatically start every time Windows boots, unless you change the Startup type. An easy way to check the status of Tor, start or stop the service, and change the startup type is by running services.msc and finding the Tor service in the list of currently installed services.

If you wish to remove the Tor service, you can simply run:

  tor -remove

(Note: If you are running Tor as a service and you want to uninstall it, be sure and run the service removal command (shown just above) FIRST before running the uninstaller from add/remove programs. The uninstaller is currently not capable of removing the active service.)
