Hallo zusammen

Ich weiss, das Problem ist nicht selten und es gibt schon viele Treads darueber, aber ich schaffe es irgendwie trotzdem nicht. Ich habe mir Arch Linux installiert mit Gnome und danach Compiz-Fusion. Doch beim Start ist der ganze Bildschirm weiss und es zeigt nur noch die Maus. Die Effekt wie Wrfel-Drehen, etc gehen, doch eben nur mit weissen Seiten. Ich habe eine ATI Radeon X1600Series-Grafikkarte mit 256MB und den aktuellen Treiber dazu von ATI heruntergeladen und installiert, dann aticonfig ausgefhrt und es geht auch. Das kann ja auch nix werden wenn du 4 verschiedene Mäuse, 2 verschiedene Tastaturen, 2 verschiedene Grafikkarten und 2 verschiedene Monitore, sowie eine im XServer nicht existente Farbtiefe von 32 Bit konfiguriert hast. Den XServer aber nur auf 16 Bit laufen lässt, wo Compiz aber 24 braucht. Hab das mal aufgeräumt, probier das mal (keine Garantie, dass es geht):

Du solltest vielleicht auch überlegen lieber XGL statt AIGLX zu nehmen. Die ATI-Treiber bieten AIGLX zwar inzwischen an, wirklich ausgereift ist das aber immer noch nicht, XGL ist zwar etwas frickeliger zum einrichten läuft aber erheblich besser.

Das kannst du so nicht pauschalisieren. Es kommt ganz auf die Grafikkarte an. Bei meiner alten X800GT lief z.B. AIGLX wesentlich stabiler als XGL. Bei einem Freund von mir lief XGL besser, auf seiner 9600GT. Das kommt also immer ganz auf den Chipsatz/Hersteller/das Modell an. Da sollte jeder selbst probieren, was gut läuft und was nicht.

Naja, mag gemeinhin selten vorkommen, dass keine Maus da ist, aber es gibt genügend Spezialfälle, in denen soetwas sinnvoll sein kann. Man denke z.B. an motorisch eingeschränkte Menschen, die die Maus via Tastatur steuern und dafür nicht extra eine mitschleppen wollen, um in der Bahn zu arbeiten oder Embedded-Systeme, wo jedes Byte zählt, ...

Aber ja, für ihn/sie dürfte das kaum einen Sinn ergeben. Frage mich allerdings, ob er das selbst da reingesetzt hat oder wer/was das war.

Ich vermute, dass hier ein mehrfaches Ausführen von aticonfig die xorg.conf so verhunzt hat und da einigen mist reingesetzt hat. Da kann ich mir auch vorstellen, dass dieser Eintrag vom aticonfig kommt.

mit hwd -xa lief es immer noch nicht. Mit der xorg.conf von sкavєи bag es zuerst auch Probleme (Maus lief nicht und Serverlayout auch nicht), doch dann habe ich sie ein wenig abgeaendert und nun sieht sie so aus:

Du hast schon wieder 3 Mäuse, 2 Screens und 2 mal das Server-Layout drin. Du solltest dich für eines entscheiden. Das ist kein Wunder, wenn das nicht funktioniert. Woher soll das Server-Layout (welches von beiden auch immer der Xserver jetzt verwendet) denn wissen welchen von dem beiden Screens, die beide den gleichen Identifier haben, es nun verwenden soll? Und woher soll der Xserver wissen welches Server-Layout er nehmen soll? Die 3 Mäuse können meinetwegen so bleiben, aber ich glaube nicht, dass du eine Maus am seriellen Port angeschlossen hast und je nachdem wo sie dranhängt kannst du dann die Serial Mouse und eine der anderen beiden entfernen. Ist aber nicht wichtig. Es wird eh nur die funktionierende verwendet.
Ich denke, wenn du deine Screens mal aufräumst (sprich einen löschst) dann hat Compiz auch schon weniger Probleme beim starten. Es bemängelt ja schließlich genau diesen Abschnitt.

Was sagt fglrxinfo?

Eventuell mal hier bei Phoronix reingucken und schauen ob da eine für dich passende Lösung dabei ist.
