avast! Home Edition v4.6.731 - Freeware-Virenscanner

Die avast! Home Edition ist ein vollwertiger Virenscanner, der sowohl den Dateizugriff, den Mail- als auch den gesamten HTTP- und NNTP- (Usenet) Datenverkehr überwacht. Dank der einfachen Bedienung ist das Programm auch für Einsteiger geeignet.
Der Standard-Modus hat folgende Schutzkomponenten eingebaut: E-Mail-Überwachung, Schutz für Tauschbörsen-Tools, Messenger-Scanner, HTTP- und NNTP-Überwachung und einen Benachrichtigungsdienst. Für jede der Komponenten lässt sich der Wirkungsgrad einstellen, also die Sensibilität des Scanners.
Natürlich kann man auch Ordner und Dateien über das Kontextmenü manuell auf Virenbefall überprüfen lassen. Interessanter dürfte aber der automatische Boot-Scan sein, der, wenn ein ausreichender Schutz gewährleistet werden soll, wöchentlich durchgeführt werden sollte.
Seit der Version 4.6.603 agiert avast! als Proxy-Server und filtert so verdächtige Daten heraus. Die Intrusion-Detection-Funktion überwacht ebenfalls den Datenverkehr und schützt Sie so vor gefährlichen Würmern.
avast! ist eines der ersten AV-Tools, das auch auf 64-Bit Systemen läuft und vor allem korrekt funktioniert. Um das Programm für den Privatgebrauch gratis nutzen zu können, müssen Sie sich während der 60-tägigen Testphase auf der Hersteller-Homepage registrieren lassen. (Textquelle WinFuture)

- Aswrdr.sys: fixed compatibility problem with Windows Vista beta versions
- fixed a problem with the boot-time scanner under Windows Vista beta
- fixed crashes of the physical memory scan under WinXP x64
- mail heuristics: added detection of multiple content-type headers
- avast now does not report the "file is corrupted" messages when trying to unpack a modified, unknown or damaged version of a Winexec packer
- sched.exe now supports all params of the boot-time scanner
- added Greek language version
