# Wikimedia Hackathon :: Milan, Italy – May 1-3, 2026 :: Das Netzwerk wächst - immer!

Auch wenn Mailand relativ weit weg scheint – was dort an Code und Infrastruktur entsteht, ist direkt Teil unseres Ökosystems (m.a.W. ...der epistemischen Gruppe aller hier), von der wir alle leben. Es scheint wichtig, immer wieder darzustellen, wie unermesslich grooooooß die Open Source-Community ist und dass genau genommen die Sonne nie untergeht über dem weltweiten Ökosystem. Tua res agitur: überall dort, wo am gr. Open Source Projekt gearbeitet wird - wird für uns gearbeitet: es ist eine Arbeit, welche das Ökosystem wachsen lässt und zugleich Neues (neuen Code, neue Ideen) gebiert. Die News und Hinweisen auf Events, sie sind also nicht nur als schlichter Reisehinweis veröffentlicht, sondern sie bezwecken immer auch noch mehr: sie sind auch zu verstehen, als "Karte des Werdens unserer Infrastruktur". Wo an Open Source gearbeitet wird, wird für uns gearbeitet.
