guten Abend liebe Winfuture-Community,
Die Mentoring-Organisationen für den Google Summer of Code 2026 stehen fest: Insgesamt 185 Open-Source-Projekte nehmen in diesem Jahr teil.
Damit beginnt jetzt die spannende Phase: Ab Mitte März veröffentlichen die Organisationen nach und nach ihre Projektideen („Ideas Pages“) – also konkrete Vorschläge, woran im Sommer gearbeitet werden soll. ( unten davon einige Beispiele: )
Mit dem Start der Contributor-Registrierung am 16. März wird dieser Prozess zunehmend sichtbar:
👉 was bewegt sich in der Entwicklung - was wird vorangetrieben;
👉 Welche Features könnten demnächst;
👉 Welche Roadmaps beschleunigt werden und aufs Ganze gesehen.....
👉 Welche Projekte neue Entwicklerenergie bekommen - m.a.W.: welche Software darf auf neue Features & Funktionalitäten hoffen. .
Bis Ende März / Anfang April ergibt sich so ein immer klareres Bild davon, wohin sich viele Open-Source-Projekte im Jahr '26 entwickeln werden.
