Darktable, die eine freie Software zur Aufbereitung und Verwaltung von Digitalfotos - jetzt in der Version 5.0.0.

Die leistungsfähige Open-Source-RAW-Fotoworkflow-Paket - es kommt nun in der Version 5.0.0: ein großartiges Paket (und halt auch Open-Source-Software) - dessen Stärke und Schwerpunkt: virtuelle Leuchttische und Dunkelkammern für digitale RAW-Fotografen.

Die neue Version von Darktable 5.0 - sie hat viele Verbesserungen der Benutzeroberfläche (UI) und des Benutzererlebnisses (UX).

Das Programm ist auf die Verarbeitung von Rohbilddaten (RAW) spezialisiert, welche digitale Spiegelreflexkameras (DSLR), Systemkameras, einige Kompaktkameras oder Smartphones ausgeben können. Das tolle ist: Darktable ist als Freie Software unter den Bedingungen von Version 3 oder späteren der GNU General Public License (GPL) auch im Quelltext verfügbar. Und besonders toll: Es läuft auf vielen Plattformen, wie z.B. auf FreeBSD, Linux, macOS und Solaris und auch auf Windows.

Darktable 5.0 kommt mit vielen Verbesserungen und auch mit neuen Funktionalitäten:

Ein wesentliches Augenmerkt der Entwickler liegt auf der Verbesserung der Usability liegt - der Userfreundlichkeit /(UX) - neudeutsch, die Benutzererfahrung steht Pate für viele Verbesserungen. Es wurden für eine Vielzahl von Kameras speziell abgestimmte Stile hinzugefügt (für praktisch 500 Kammeratypen). Darüber hinaus gibt es auch UI-Verbesserungen bei Massenbildoperationen (Bulk-Imagine-Operations): Aufs Ganze gesehen gab es insesamt sehr viele UI-/UX-Verbesserungen.

The following is a summary of the main features added to darktable 5.0. Please see the user manual for more details of the individual changes (where available). This development cycle has included a large number of changes which improve the user experience, as detailed in the next section.

UI/UX Improvements
Added camera-specific styles for more than 500 camera models to more closely approximate the out-of-camera JPEG rendition. These styles only affect contrast, brightness, and saturation and do not attempt to match sharpening, denoising, or hue shifts. Also added a Lua script to auto-apply the appropriate style on import and manually apply styles to a collection of previously-imported images. Added an optional splash screen showing startup progress (including estimated time remaining during the scan for updated sidecar files) to dramatically reduce the time between invoking darktable and something appearing on screen when the user has a large library.
