The Office 11 pre-release program that you are participating includes the testing of the upgrade process from Beta 1 to Beta 2.



In an effort to ensure that the hosted SharePoint Team Services sites migrate properly from Beta 1 to Beta 2, we are asking you and a few other Beta site owners to allow Microsoft to make copies of the SharePoint site that is in the stsbeta.iponet.net environment, and to use the site copy in our pre-testing of the upgrade process.



In order for us to validate that this process is successful, we will have to be able to confirm that the entire site collection has properly migrated. That means we will have to list and compare all data in the site including:

> all user information and the security settings for all users;

> documents and document libraries or otherwise added to the site;

> the lists and list data for all types of lists;

> the web structure and meta data.

If we encounter any errors during the migration process, our investigation may require that we view any or all of this data to fix the problem.



The data will be kept confidential within Microsoft, and will not be used for any purpose other than validating the upgrade process. Once the beta program is complete, we will delete all copies of the sites that were used for the upgrade testing.



If you are willing to let us use your site for this testing, please reply to this message, and include in your reply the message: Yes, Microsoft may use a copy of my site for testing the SharePoint Beta upgrade process.



If you do not reply, or if you reply that you do not wish for us to use your site data in this manner, we will not use your site for this testing.
