The message, that the file "IASTOR.SYS" (that is the Intel S-ATA driver) is corrupt, may have several reasons:
1. You took a wrong driver package.
2. You prepared an "Unattended Install", but hit F6 and offered a driver floppy while installing the OS (when you choose "Unattended", you have to fully integrate the Controller drivers, otherwise Windows Setup forgets the previously loaded driver files!).
3. Bad CD media or too high burning speed.
If you don't succeed with the XP installation using your prepared CD, I recommend to create a new one by following this new guide.
Good luck!
Fernando

Hi,
how did you wrote the Word 'iaStor.sys'. You have to wrote it, exactly. If not, the Installation Prog of XP can't found them.
I had this Problem in the last Days. When you create a ISO-File with xp-Iso-Builder the filename is written with upcase letters. The next Problem is, to correct them. If you change them by WIN-Explorer, it will be correct. But in the next Step - burn then Iso-File with Nero - the datasetname is in upcase letters.
So anything, my time is to short, to try it out. I have to much other things to find them. Correct is, you have to save the dataset 'iaStor.sys' exactly in this order
best regards

Do you mean, that the XIB users have to control and correct the upper and lower case of the Intel Sata/Raid driver file name before letting the XIB create the ISO file?

Furthermore I would prefer, if you and other users, who have a problem to get XP or W2k3 installed onto an Intel Sata or Raid system, would post into this freashly started special guide and help thread.
Thanks
Fernando
