A major update to the Source SDK has been released on Steam. Included in this update are major features and fixes for the tools in the Source SDK. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
Major New Features
* Half-Life 2: Episode One enhancements
* NPC behavior enhancements
* New Tool application called 'Source SDK Base'
o Uses the latest shipping version of the Source Engine (HL2: Episode One)
o This content will be updated whenever a new version of the Source Engine ships
o Mod makers should always use its SteamAppId (215) in their single player and multi-player mods
* Many other improvements and bug fixes

Updates to Day of Defeat: Source and the Source Engine, along with some improvements to SourceTV have been released. The updates will be applied automatically when your Steam client is restarted. The specific changes include:
Day of Defeat: Source
* Improved hitbox detection for player body parts that extend outside of the bounding box
* Fixed players being able to capture areas from farther away than intended
* Fixed an exploit where player could plant the bomb and switch teams, causing the bomb to explode and give the point ownership to the wrong team
* Fixed bell sound playing on knife impacts
* Fixed players switching to the tnt view model if they picked it up while a smoke grenade was deployed
* Fixed several map exploits
* Fixed minimap cap areas showing the number of players present even if those players were on the owning team
* Fixed a case where user could crash the server with a client command
* Fixed a case where dod_Jagd would not respond to mp_timelimit changelevels
* Fixed an exploit that could be used to throw grenades farther than intended
* Fixed logging events kill_planter and kill_defuser showing incorrect data
* Fixed several cvars not being saved in the config ( death effects options, hud_centerid )
* Fixed animation issue where player would not have an animation if they expended all ammo
* Fixed issue where a player would be stuck on spawn if they were defusing when the round restarted
Source Engine
* Fixed jittery animations while recording a demo file
SourceTV
* Added a convar "tv_transmitall" to transmit all entities (like HLTV)
* Fixed console messages forwarding for rcon
* Fixed spectator client crash during round restart
* Fixed flicking decal and smoke effects
* Fixed connection retry command
* Fixed recording and broadcasting player voices. "tv_relayvoice 0" turns it off now
* Fixed missing entities due to wrong PVS culling

* The 'cs_milita.vmf' distributed with was loading in a bad state if the grid is set to be displayed at startup. New version has grid off

Friends now displays the game you are playing to all your friends
Attempting to add a Friend who doesn't have a Steam account will now give you the option to send them an email, inviting them to become one
The words 'valve' or 'steam' are no longer available for use in the Friends name
Fixed game install dialog over estimating install size for games that shared content
Added a "Don't Show me Again" checkbox to the System Requirements dialog for games
Fixed FPS drop after running a listen server
Note There was initially a Counter-Strike 1.6 crash caused by this update, but that has since been fixed

* G41 - German semi automatic rifle which was used early in the war but phased out with the arrival of the much improved G43
* All new Russian voice commands
* Improved jogging animations for the players
* New custom death icons for panzerfaust kills and sniper kills

* Weapon pickup enhancements - partially due to feedback from the free week, we have implemented a much more simple system for picking up/dropping your current weapon. Weapons can now be picked up by looking at the weapon you want to pick up and pressing the use key. Your current weapon will then be dropped automatically
* Ammo pickup enhancements - when a player drops ammo they now drop a single ammo belt or ammo pouch instead of multiple ammo clips or bullets. This makes the process of taking ammo from a dead enemy much simpler, or picking up your ammo when your weapon is shot out of your hand much easier
* Player ragdolls are now effected by explosions from grenades, artillery, and HE rounds
* Option for original role names - the player can now choose to view the original untranslated role names in game
