Hi,

nachdem DivX mit Erscheinen der Version 6 seines Videocodecs
die Entwicklung des Programms Dr.DivX leider eingestellt hatte
und nur noch das kaum konfigurierbare DivX-create zur
one-click Videokomprimierung angeboten hatte,

ist nun Dr.DivX wieder erschienen!

Diesmal als freie Software.

Die zur Zeit erhältliche Version scheint noch etwas buggy zu sein
(ich habe es selbst nicht ausprobiert)
aber ich finde, das ist ein Lichtblick.

Viele User, ich eingeschlossen waren nämlich von DivXcreate mehr als entäuscht.
Und das zurecht.

Fragt sich nur was Dr.Xvid davon hält..

und wer das bei immer größer werdenden Speichermedien
schnelleren Internetanschlüssen noch wirklich braucht.
