Die umfangreich ausgestattete Freeware Azureus bietet die wichtigsten Funktionen, um schnell an die gewünschten Dateien zu kommen: Multi-Download, Prioritäten setzen, Vorschau, IRC-Client, Statistikfunktion.

Der große Unterschied zwischen dem BitTorrent-Netz und den meisten anderen Filesharing-Börsen besteht darin, dass es für jede Datei ein eigenes, temporäres Peer-to-Peer-Netz gibt.
