Hm, ich weis nicht, ich persönlich komme unter Windows nicht mit HydraIRC zurecht, irssi+cygwin wäre mir am liebsten, hab aber noch nicht probiert, ob das klappt.
Um's nochmal zu sagen, die 20 Mäuse sind für die faulen Leute, es steht dir frei, XChat auch kostenlos unter Windows zu nutzen, man braucht sich ja nur hier die Sources zu ziehen und durch den Compiler zu jagen. Wenn man bedenkt, dass das keine veraltete Version ist, sind die 20 Mäuse wirklich nur ein Service-Angebot.

An aktiven inoffiziellen Builds gibt es außer dem von Silverex ( zur Zeit 2.6.6) noch das von paces_, das mit der Version 2.6.8 aber auch noch nicht auf dem letzten Stand ist.
Paces_ compiliert jeweils eine Variante mit und eine ohne integriertem GTK, so das beide Geschmäcker bedient werden.
Manche Leute berichten von einer Fehlermeldung bei der Benutzung des Python-Plugins in Paces_ Xchat. Abhilfe kann die Python.dll von Silverex schaffen - oder man installiert das Python-Plugin nicht, sofern man es nicht wirklich für Scripte benötigt.
Paces_ compiliert jeweils eine Variante mit und eine ohne integriertem GTK, so das beide Geschmäcker bedient werden.

Seit dem 19.03 gibt es bei Silverex die aktuelle Version von Xchat zum Download. Nach zerostress' Lightweight-Version ist Silverex der erste, der 2.8.0 als kostenlose Version mit den gewohnten Funktionen zur Verfügung stellt.
