The main good news is not only Scanner, but also Monitor (File Antivirus) works on 64-bit OSes now.
And you can adjust some settings using registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\KasperskyLab\avp6\profiles\File_Monitoring:
1) remote:DWORD = 1 (should be always set to 1 under 64-bit OSes)
2) instances:DWORD = number of separate scanning processes. Each process requires some additional memory but make work faster.
3) autorestart:DWORD = 1 - optional, when set to 1 any killed or crashed scanning processes will be automatically restarted.
