Hallo Leute,

folgende Frage: Man konnte doch mit einem Registry-Eintrag verhindern, dass das Service Pack 2 für WinXP installiert wird.
Bei Google hab ich nichts auf die schnelle gefunden und hier im Forum auch nicht. Ich hoffe, jemand von euch kann mir weiterhelfen und mir den Schlüssel in der Registry verraten.

Was denkst Du denn was ein 96k großes Tool macht? Genau diese Registryänderung - steht auch auf der in dem auf das Anklicken des Links folgenden Internet-Seite:

The executable creates the registry key and sets the associated value on the machine upon which it is run, to block or unblock (depending on the command-line option used) the delivery of Windows XP SP2 to that system, through Automatic Updates or Windows Update. The ADM template allows administrators to import the new group policy settings to block or unblock delivery of Windows XP SP2 into their Group Policy environment, and use Group Policy to centrally execute the action across systems in their environment.

habs gelesen...bleib ma locker...aber trotzdem danke..
woran kann es liegen, das beim windows update die updates fehlschlagen also auch beim update...rechner is nen acer power F1 mit windows xp service pack 1..service pack 2 deshalb nicht, weil noch ältere software drauf laufen soll, die höchstwahrscheinlich nich mit sp2 läuft..

höchstwahrscheinlich nicht mit sp2 läuft? probieren geht über studieren. zier dich mal nicht so, wir sind hier nicht beim männerballett? =) sorry aber mir ist noch keine software unter die augen gekommen die nicht mehr ging nach update von sp1 auf sp2 und die liste bei microsoft ist auch bedächtig kurz geworden...

desweiteren gehen ms updates in zukunft teilweise von einem installierten sp2 aus so dass bestimmte updates nur für sp2 systeme sind und die kannst du dann auch nicht installieren. tjaja der lauf der zeit...

ja du held...das is schön und gut...aber man weiß ja ned, ob irgendwelche dos-programme (arztsoftware usw darunter laufen) und wenn das nicht der fall ist und du dann da sitzt, um das alles wieder rückgängig zu machen, dann verbessert es nicht die laune vom kunden...ich ziere mich also nicht es zu installieren, aber der kunde is nu ma könig
