I made sure all the data was erased, this resulted in the following: Where first the BSOD would appear, now nothing happens. Just the appearing and disappearing of an underscore... Also, apparantly a burned dvd won't load as bootable while a cd does. Is that normal?
@egal8888:
1. The laptop actually came with Windows Vista, but with only 1GB of RAM available I decided that wasn't working. So I (once) succesfully used KillDisk and installed Windows XP. This time, I used the same image file (I saved it the first time) and for that I used an original Windows XP disc without any preinstalled software and driver files. That's why I downloaded the driver files manually and added them to the disc by using WinFuture.
2. I don't think so, I only completed step 1, 6 and 11. Step 6 involved adding the driver files, right?
@MagicAndre1981
That is going to take some time, so I will do it later this week.
