SpeedFan kann, auf vielen Mainboards, die Lüfter-Geschwindigkeit an die CPU-Temperatur anpassen. Dabei nutzt es den "Monitoring-Chip" der Hauptplatine und steuert so die Lüfterdrehzahl. Mit der neuen Version werden nun auch nForce2 und nForce3 Mainboards unterstützt (zusätzlich die neuesten nVidia Grafikkarten, wie die GeForce 6800).
