Größte neuerung des neuen Catalyst ist wohl die erstmalige unterstützung für die Mobility-Reihe.

Vorerst wohl nur für x700/x800, aber wer weiß ob sie es nicht doch noch etwas ausweiten.

Hmm, ich hab auch einige Zeit mit Omega-Treibern verbracht, aber es war zum Schluss nur noch ein ernüchterndes Ergebnis: GENAU GLEICH VIELE FPS wie mit den Original Catalyst Treibern!!!

Hab zwar nur eine 9500 Pro, aber eigentlich hatte ich mir mehr davon erhofft...

da ich eine x600 habe war ich etwas traurig als ich die info auf der ati seite lesen musste
nunja es gibt ja immer noch die infs die man bearbeiten kann

ATI CATALYST 5.5 gegen 5.6 Treibervergleich

Festzuhalten bleibt aber trotzdem, dass wir keine Einbußen durch die neue Version 5.6 feststellen konnten, weder bei der Bildqualität, noch bei der Bildrate. Daher ist das Update bedenkenlos durchzuführen, wer den 5.6er allerdings auslässt und erst wieder den bei der Version 5.7 einsteigt hat auch nichts verpasst.

Da der 5.5 auch keine Verbesserungen gegenüber dem 5.4 gebracht hat, bleib ich beim Omega Treiber 2.6.25 auf Basis des Catalyst 5.4. Der hat im großen Treibervergleich der PCGH 06/05 am besten abgeschnitten und ich hatte bisher keine Probs damit.
