Kaufberatung: Welcher RAM passt wirklich ? Für Asus P4SD-VX

Hey Leute,
ich suche RAM (Bestenfalls auf Amazon) für meinen PC mit dem Motherboard Asus P4SD-VX und habe unmengen an Fragen:

1.So zu allererst welche RAM passt zu dem MB ?
Ich habe auf folgender Seite gelesen, das das MB maximal 2 GB unterstützt und 4 Slots hat.

Stimmt das ?

2.Laut der Seite oben passt ein Ram namens(?) "184 Pin 2.6v DDR400 Non-ECC Dimm". Stimmt das ?
Wenn ja wieso steht bei diesem Angebot unter der Produktbeschreibung nicht der Name von meinem MB
(da scheint ja unmengen zustehen ...)

Im Handbuch (leicht andere Version) stehen 4GB, ergo pro Slot 1GB.

Du braucht DDR I RAM mit 1GB und 400MHz ohne ECC. Ergo, all diese hier: DDR I, 400MHz, 1GB pro Modul geizhals.at/de

Passt!

Such Dir bei Geizhals ein Angebot raus. Auf 4GB aufrüsten lohnt sich bei den Preisen nicht mehr. Dafür ist die Kiste zu alt.

Das mit den 4GB würde ich nochmal überprüfen, ich würde wie der TE meinen, das nur max. 2GB unterstützt werden.
Zumindest scheint das Board im Vaio pcv-rs346 verbaut zu sein und der schafft nur 2GB.

Also benötigst du einen DDR PC-2700 Arbeitsspeicher.

Das sehe ich auch so. Denn obwohl der 865PE-Chipsatz theoretisch einen maximalen Speicherausbau von 4GB erlauben würde, scheinen es bei dem Board nur 2GB zu sein. Solche Limitierungen hat man oft bei OEM-Boards, und um ein solches handelt es sich hier. Wenn man auf der Support-Seite von Sony mal nach Notebooks mit dem entsprechenden Board googelt, so ist dort immer wieder von maximal 2GB Arbeitsspeicher die Rede, zum Beispiel hier oder hier.
Im übrigen spielt es auch keine Rolle, ob PC2700er oder schnellerer (PC3200er) Speicher verbaut wird. Letzterer lässt sich auch ohne weiteres mit einem Speichertakt von 166 (333)MHz betreiben. Die "langsamere" Taktung erfolgt nach dem Einbau automatisch...

Erstmal danke für die Ganze Hilfe bis jetzt!

Zu meiner(meinen) Letzten und gleichzeitig auch wichtigsten Frage(n):
In welcher Preisklasse wäre ein 2x512MB RAM optimal ? Und wie heißt der RAM jetzt eigentlich (PC2700 ? PC3200 oder was ?) Und kann mir jemand vielleicht ein gutes Angebot auf Amazon raussuchen ? (Ich weiß klingt scheiße, aber ich weiss halt nicht welches Angebot wirklich seriös ist und wirklich passt ... :S)

Viel mehr würde ich für 2x512MB DDR1 Speicher jetzt nicht ausgeben. In dem Fall wäre es auch noch ein Amazon-Marktplatz-Angebot. Ob der Händler zu 100% seriös ist, kann ich dir nicht sagen. Die Händlerbewertungen sehen auf jeden Fall ganz gut aus. Ob die gelieferten Riegel dann kompatibel zu deinem OEM-Board sind, kann dir auch niemand garantieren. Einen Versuch wäre es wert. Ansonsten kannst du dich hier auch mal im Suche&Biete-Forum oder in der Bucht (e-Bay) umschauen. Was du brauchst, ist ein Kit aus 2 x 512MB DDR(1) PC2700er (333 MHz) oder PC3200er (400 MHz) Speicher. Wichtig ist auch, dass es dabei nicht um ECC-Speicher handelt...

@DP455 Beim Amazon Link steht dass der nicht für Intelchipsätze geeignet ist. Ob das jetzt stimmt mag ich nicht beurteilen. Aufgrund des Bildes würde ich da auch nicht unbedingt hoffen dass es ein 2x512MB Kit ist. Die Bilder die dort sind, sind Kundenbilder und keine vom Händler. Auf dem einen Kundenbild ist auch Samsungspeicher zu sehen und nicht der von CM3. Bei diesem Angebot würde ich vorher noch mal den Händler kontaktieren.
