Hallo,
es gibt wieder einen neuen Betatest:
Dear Marcel,
Congratulations on being selected to participate in the Microsoft® Windows Server™ 2003 R2 Beta 2! The Windows Server team is delighted to hear what you have to say about this latest version. This is where and how you can directly inspire us to create software that helps you reach your potential.
Key Enhancements in R2
This beta enhances key features that network administrators want to improve their network performance, streamline administrative and maintenance tasks, and increase security. Here are just a few of these enhanced features:
· Active Directory Application Mode (ADAM)
ADAM is a Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) directory service that runs as a user service, rather than as a system service.
· Branch Office DFS and DFS Replication
Technologies that help simplify branch office management by using improved replication services, management tools for files, DFS, and print management and compression algorithms.
· Simple Storage Access Network (Simple SAN)
Technology that allows for rapid deployments of SAN technologies by using the Virtual Disk Service (VDS), which enables one cross-hardware tool to create and manage logical unit numbers (LUNs) on SANs that support VDS 1.1.
· Active Directory Federated Services (ADFS)
ADFS is an access management solution that enables Windows Web-based authentication, authorization, single sign-on (SSO) and identity federation across security boundaries (security, departmental, organizational, platform). ADFS helps to reduce the administrative complexity and security threats commonly faced when sharing applications with partners, customers and decentralized employees.
R2 Beta Program Feedback and Technical Assistance
The R2 Beta program has implemented several changes to the beta feedback process to help improve your experience, our final product, and the overall beta process itself.
First, you can provide R2 Beta feedback to us by using two new bug forms on BetaPlace: 1) Feature/Functionality Bugs and 2) Feature/Functionality Improvements. Second, at any time, we encourage you to send feedback to us at either [email protected] or via the Café newsgroup. Third, for comments on documentation, please send e-mail to R2 Content Feedback.
Technical assistance for this beta will be provided via the various newsgroups. Information on the newsgroups may be found on BetaPlace. The beta team is strongly encouraging active newsgroup participation as a method of keeping ahead of the latest developments. If you prefer to be notified via e-mail of changes to BetaPlace, please make sure that you complete the e-mail notification survey.
