Mit Max lassen sich momentan Listen von Photos erstellen und diese dann zu schönen Slideshows umzuwandeln, um sie mit der Familie oder Freunden zu teilen.

Note: This is a Preview release. Therefore, do not install this on machines you depend on. Microsoft Codename Max requires the WinFX September CTP in order to function properly. Max will install this for you. However, if you have a previous version of WinFX Runtime Components, Avalon ("Windows Presentation Foundation"), Indigo ("Windows Communication Foundation"), or Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installed, please uninstall before installing Max.

Die notwendigen WinFX-Komponenten (angeblich bis ca. 6.5MB) werden bei der Installation automatisch nachgeladen.

Max sollte nicht in produktiven Umgebungen installiert werden, bitte erst unbedingt die unter "Note" aufgeführten Angaben lesen!

Hinweis: Diese Beta-Version ist eigentlich nur für englischsprachige Windows-Systeme gedacht. Microsoft empfiehlt Anwendern diese Version nur auf einem englischsprachigem System zu installieren.

Systemanforderungen: Windows XP Home, Professional, Tablet PC, or Media center Edition (SP2)

Wer bereits Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 installiert hat, wird folgende Fehlermeldung erhalten:




Mögliche Fehlermeldungen:

1) Microsoft Codename Max v1.51114.4 (Preview Release / Englisch) "The Version of Max ist not supported on your system. We're very sorry for the inconvenience. We have found problems in Max that prevent it from functioning properly on non-English systems. Support for non-English systems is very important to us and we are working hard to fix these problems. Look for an update to Max in near future.



2) Microsoft Codename Max v1.0.50831.3 (Preview Release / Englisch) "Setup cannot update your Internet Explorer 7 Beta 1 files because the language installed on your system is different from the update language."

Ursache: Code Name MAX kann nur auf einem Englischsprachigem System installiert werden

Lösung: Mit folgender registry änderung sollte die Installation ausgeführt werden können:

Windows XP Registry

Start -> ausführen -> regedit
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control Nls\Language -> "InstallLanguage"="0409" umändern. Standard "407".
Neustart und dann Setup ausführen.
Setup ausführen
Testen

Schritt 1 und 2 ausführen und "InstallLanguage"="0409" wieder in 0407 ändern.
