Opera v9.0 Weekly Build 8238 (Englisch)

Changelog (ohne die Mac und Linux spezifischen Änderungen):
- Default mode for cycling tabs with Ctrl+Tab without popup window is now visible tab order.
- Added quotes to paths in opera:config to prevent path corruption - opera:config can now be used again.
- In content blocking mode, clicking an image or plug-in shows all other content that matches the filter.
- Content blocker shows previously blocked content when entering content blocking mode.
- Content blocker filters are no longer case sensitive.
- Leaving content blocking mode removes all content that matches the new filters, including pages in inline frames.
- Improved blocking of plug-in content when an object tag is used without an embed tag.
- Improved display of content blocker toolbar.
- Reduced delay for thumbnail tooltips.
- Added disk caching for BitTorrent to improve speed.
- Moved site preferences to Preferences - Advanced - Content.
- DCC chat now respects the nosave and nodownload switches in kiosk mode.
- Improved handling of removed elements in Web Forms 2.0 repetition.
- Added support for stepping in time inputs.
- Fixed a crash when hiding plugins with display:none;
- General stability fixes.

WARNING: This build will frequently crash when using Flash.

This weekly build has some issues with Flash so we advice you do disable plugins if you want to use it.

The Unix/Linux builds now have a different build number system due to a new and improved build system.

- Improved notification of invalid SSL certificates.
- Upgrading will automatically disable 40 and 56 bit SSL/TLS ciphers.

Bekannte Fehler:
- Cannot view e-mail attachments within Opera.
- :hover pseudo-class is only recognised when hovering inline boxes within an element (may cause Pure CSS Menus to fail).
- Text may be misaligned on buttons.
- Self closing (non-script) tags may break the layout.
- Some pages may have unexpected linebreaks.

Opera v9.0 Weekly Build 8321 (Englisch)

Don't be shocked when you run this weekly build. The Widgets user interface has dramatically changed!
The first thing you will notice, is the Opera Widgets label on the top of your screen. It allows you to quickly pull up your widgets, from within any application.
The widgets are now shown in a faded background. This makes it easier to distinguish them from other applications. And more fun to use!

- Some of the new widget User interface is not yet available on Linux, UNIX, or Mac.
- Widgets will not work on some Linux or UNIX installations, while work is being carried out on the new widget User interface.
- Widget thumb is shown at the top of the screen, providing quick access to widgets (this can be removed using the settings button when viewing widgets).
- Widgets are now displayed on a faded background.
- Pinned widgets have their own tasks, and can be activated with Alt+Tab as with normal application windows.

Inoffizielle deutsche Sprachdateien für die Opera Version 9.0 Weekly Builds gibt es bei Opera-Info.de, allerdings im Moment noch nicht für den aktuellen Build 8221 (vielleicht geht sie aber trotzdem):

Opera v9.0 Mid Weekly Build 8326 (Englisch)

We are throwing out a mid weekly this time ;-)
Widget UI is still under development, some things might not work as expected.

Also take a look at the Web Applications team new blog, for details of some of the extra features of Opera's canvas implementation.

Changelog (nur Windows):
- Fixed timestamp bug in Mail.
- Fixed copy bug where space was inserted before special characters.
- Fixed bug where links from widgets opened in new window not tab.
- Remember widgets independent of startup option.
- Reloading open message when IMAP is checking.
- Fixed bug where widget handler stole focus from opera when starting.
- Script dialogs now have the option to stop scripts running on the current page, in order to prevent further dialogs from appearing.

Opera v9.0 Mid Weekly / Pre Beta RC Build 8348 (Englisch)

We are working hard on a Beta RC right now so we do need some feedback from ya'll.

Changelog (nur Windows):
- Fixed SVG context menu
- Attempt to fix Widget Cache crasher
- Fixed memory leak in Bit Torrent
- Fix for a log-on problem that would occur with some IRC-servers (namely Freenode) when the user id entered in the account (typically the users e-mail address) contained a period (.)
- Fixed problem with viewing non quick mail headers
- Several finetunings in the MSI installer
- Improved Widgets handling on Win98/win95
- Fix for windows not loading on restart when widgets are open
