Simple Software Restriction Policy 2.0 r3

Changelog:
Only significant change is the addition of Patreon buttons on the GUI and tray menu. These are simply Weblinks to our Patreon sponsorship page, rest assured there are no popups or adware involved. If you're rather not have these showing, change PatreonLink to zero in SoftwarePolicy.ini and they will be gone. The Patreon link is to attract sponsorship for maintenance work on these utilities which is taking up more and more of our time. The utilities remain full and free versions under the GPL or MPL, and you are not under any obligation to contribute, although at some point in the future we may decide that technical support shall only be available to sponsors. This release has had more thorough testing on Windows 10 RTM, and all seems to be OK on that platform. Windows XP and 7/8 support is of course retained.

Termination of development and free support.

Development of this and our other projects has been suspended as of March 2016, following our being unable to find a financial backer for the work.

We regret having to take this decision, however we feel that the time cost of preparing updates and responding to support requests can no longer be justified in an environment where the majority of those who have requested support from us -often on related problems with their computer which were not directly an issue with our software anyway- have declined to support the projects in any shape or form whatsoever.

This in spite of our providing a PayPal interface for contributions, and running two successive crowdfunding campaigns.

We would take this opportunity to thank the small number of users who HAVE contributed, however we would ask you to realise that the numbers simply do not justify the continuance of any free support service. Support and bugfixes will of course continue to be available to clients with an ongoing maintenance agreement, or who have made a reasonable contribution in the past.

The current versions will remain available for as long as Sourceforge wish to continue hosting them.

Sehr schade!

Hier noch der Changelog des letzten Updates:
2.0 r4 (Dec 15) Patreon links removed as they weren't attracting much revenue. People seem to trust PayPal, so PayPal it is, but only on the Website, felt we preferred not to have buttons in the software itself.

We're tentatively putting some Windows files back onto SF, hoping that they've fixed the virus scanning issues.

Windows-Bordmittel-Alternative:

GPO-Editor (lokal[gpedit.msc] oder Domain[gpmc.msc] ) => Computer => Windowseinstellungen => Sicherheitseinstellungen => Richtlinien für die Anwendungssteuerung => Applocker.
