Servus allerseits!

Ich bin im bereich Linux noch relativ neu, hatte nur mal kurze erfahrung mit Kubuntu.

Jetzt suche ich ein "Betriebssystem" welches mein Notebook-Akku möglichst schont und trotzdem super aussieht (Kubuntu hat meine Laufzeit von 4h auf 2h halbiert, es scheidet dementsprechend aus xD)...und wenn es die akkulaufzeit noch verlängert würde ich weinen vor freude :P

Es soll zum surfen und mitschreiben in vorlesungen gut sein, und wie gesagt möglichst CPU/GPU-Schonend sein!

Wenn jemand erfahrungen mit bestimmten versionen hat: pls post^^
Vielen Dank schonmal im Voraus!

ist eigendlich jedes OS für geeignet... muss man nur konfigurieren :wink:

XUBUNTU hat bspw. einen schonenderen Fenstermanager und ist damit (weniger Reccourcenverbrauch == weniger Stromverbrauch) auch dort sparsamer.

Aber wie gesagt: es kommt auch drauf an wie du es konfigurierst und ob das System deinen Ansprüchen genügt.

Xubuntu nutzt als "Fenstermanager" Xfce und nicht wie Kubuntu KDE. Daneben gibt es ein weiteres schlankes mit dem Namen LXDE. Auf Ubuntubasis Lubuntu
Von Fedora, falls du es dir auch mal anschauen möchtest, gibt's diese beiden auch: https://fedoraprojec...-fedora-options

Ansonsten, wenn du dich nicht davor scheust selbst Hand anzulegen, könnte Arch Linux eine interessante Option sein.

Ich denke da liegt noch was anderes im argen. Keine Desktopumgebung der Welt sollte die Akkulaufzeit halbieren. Entweder gibts da einen Bug in der Umgebung, oder deine Hardware läuft nicht sauber unter dem Kernel.
Poste mal bitte Infos zu Hardware, Kernel und die Ausgabe von
cat /proc/cpuinfo &&cat /proc/loadavg && lspci && lsusb && dmesg


Achja und welche Graka und Treiber im Einsatz ist

also das hier ist nicht mehr von kubuntu, das ist mittlerweile Fedora 15, da ist das problem nicht ganz so massiv, aber immer noch bestehend (also dass die akkulaufzeit STARK abnimmt sobald ich in linux gehe)

Ich denke Fedora 16 ist eine gut Idee da dein Prozzi denke ich mal auf SandyBridge Basis läuft und da im >= Kernel 3.0 einige Bugs behoben worden sind.
Und Fedora 16 muesste 3.1 inne haben...

Was hast du überhaupt für ein Notebook?

Wenn ich das richtig mit meinem Halbwissen interpretiere deuten die Fehlermeldungen auf eine defekte DSDT-Datei hin, womit die BIOS-Entwickler ganze Arbeit geleistet hätten.

Das lässt sich wohl beim Booten mit der Angabe von acpi_osi="Linux" beheben.

Eine defekte DSDT kann man relativ leicht selbst fixen. Das setzt aber voraus, daß man sich ein wenig mit Programmiersprachen auskennt (um die Fehler zu beheben) und, viel wichtiger, daß die Distribution überhaupt die Verwendung einer eigenen Tabelle ermöglicht, ohne den Kernel neu kompilieren zu müssen.

Als Parameter acpi_osi="Linux" hinzuzufügen dürfte nichts bringen bzw. sogar kontraproduktiv sein. Das BIOS soll ja gerade nicht davon wissen, daß Linux läuft. Oft werden nicht alle Funktionen freigeschaltet, wenn im Betriebsystemnamen nicht Microsoft oder Windows vorkommt. Welche Abfrage stattfindet, steht in der o.g. DSDT. Man könnte schnell testen, ob das was bringt, indem man acpi_osi z.B auf Microsoft Windows setzt.

Der 3er Kernel, na ja eigentlich nur eine handvoll bestätigter Nutzer, hat mit der Grafikeinheit Probleme. Deshalb wird die Stromsparfunktion per default abgeschaltet. Bei der überwiegenden Mehrheit gibt's aber keine Probleme. Die Funktion läßt sich aber einfach per Parameter einschalten (klick). Da der i3 370m aber eh kein Sandy Bridge ist, weiß ich nicht, ob sich das auf dessen integrierte Grafik überhaupt übertragen läßt. Versuch macht kluch.

Taktet die Radeon im Idle überhaupt runter? Der Treiber bringt ja ein Tool mit, um das zu überprüfen.

EDIT:
Es gibt auch noch viele andere Schrauben, an denen man drehen kann (Energiesparfunktionen von SATA, Sound, WLAN, LAN, USB, etc.). Mein Notebook verbraucht unter Linux inzwischen weniger als unter Windows.

Da der i3 370m aber eh kein Sandy Bridge ist, weiß ich nicht, ob sich das auf dessen integrierte Grafik überhaupt übertragen läßt. Versuch macht kluch.

Taktet die Radeon im Idle überhaupt runter? Der Treiber bringt ja ein Tool mit, um das zu überprüfen.

EDIT:
Es gibt auch noch viele andere Schrauben, an denen man drehen kann (Energiesparfunktionen von SATA, Sound, WLAN, LAN, USB, etc.). Mein Notebook verbraucht unter Linux inzwischen weniger als unter Windows.


Upps stimmt, keine Sandy bei ihm Onboard.
