Zitat

Now, 8 days since Opera Swordfish is successfully hunting out in the deep, warm waters, with more than 32 000 000 downloads, we would like to use the opportunity to thank you all for the excellent help and support in making Opera 11.50 our most successful release ever!

And since the weather outside of Opera’s HQ is somewhat tropical (relatively warm, with pouring rains), our developers were able to catch one of the fastest tropical fishes in the world So today we are happy to present you with the very first snapshot of our next major release, codenamed Wahoo (what will eventually become version 12). It’s currently in its embryo pre-alpha state and only includes some important bug fixes and overall polishing, with all the fresh and juicy stuff coming a bit later

WARNING: This is a development snapshot: It contains the latest changes, but may also have severe known issues, including crashes, and data loss situations. In fact, it may not work at all.

Außerdem eine lab-build des neuen html5-parsers Ragnarök:

Zitat

  • reducing memory use
  • enhancing performance to bring you the speed you expect from Opera
  • bug fixing: previously, we had a 99.9% pass-rate on an extensive test suite based on the html5lib tests for the parser part of the HTML 5 specification. Now that’s 100%.

Ja, die sind auch nicht für den Einsatz im Alltag gedacht, eher zu Testzwecken bzw. für Webseitenbetreiber, HTML-Coder, etc.

At time of writing the test262 test suite is reporting one error from a total of 10927 tests on the Windows and Mac platforms. As a comparison, Opera 11.51 on Windows has 3865 failures. See the known issues below for information on Linux!

Fein gemacht Opera!
