After a test, I think it is because of the used NON MS Theme. If you uninstall the patcher you have to set back the theme also before restore. Otherwise it comes to the descripted black screen, because of a non supported theme!

The patcher themself tested before uninstallation if the patched and none patched versionnumber is the same otherwise he will do nothing!

i just downloaded, installed (with administrator permission) this software and restarted my windows (x86), then i changed to custom theme.. but not working.. it still original theme with color changed.. it's so weird

With Windows 8 you have a lot more to do then before.

Hi.

I downloaded your UltraUXthemePatcher and installed it on my 64 bit Windows8RTM and it didn't work. It was unable to patch some of the files during it's install process (don't ask me which ones, I was unable to get a screenshot before the install finished).

I found the following app: UXstylecore (don't know if this has anything to do with you or not) which appears to do the same thing and worked perfectly on my 64 bit system.

Anyway, just thought I'd let you know that your app, at least for me, did not work with my 64 bit Windows8RTM.
Don't know if would be the same for others running 64 bit Windows 8, but it's what happened with me.

Hi and thanks for the information.
The RTM Version is still supported, but MS released some updates and I did not found the current path to patch
UXstylecore has nothing to do with me and my apps. This tool is great but uses a total different system, no patching, it is running as a service. And yes this will run with nearly all versions available yet and later.
