As always we have some new goodies for you, things you have not seen in previous snapshots.
Because I've had a finger or two into making these features I will present them for you and explain a little bit how they work.


Visual Tabs - oh shiny!

Yes, we have added thumbnails on the tabs themselves to make it even easier to find that Web site you were looking for. These visual tabs are currently folded away by default, but can easily be enabled by dragging the drag handle available just beneath the tab bar.

Double-clicking or middle-clicking the same drag handle will show/hide the tab thumbnails.


Speed Dial - more shiny!

Two popular requests for Speed Dial has been to be able to use more than 9 configured sites. We've also seen frequent requests to be able to have a customized Speed Dial background. Well, guess what?

In the bottom right of the Speed Dial you now have a new Configure Speed Dial button that opens a brand new configuration dialog.

With this new configuration dialog, you will be able to set a background picture that can be stretched, centered or tiled. It is also possible to set the number of sites that should be shown, ranging from 4 to 25.

If the last version of Opera you tested was 9.6 or the alpha from last year, here are some of the additional features in Opera 10 beta 1:

HowTo: Adblock installieren

In dem folgendem Verzeichnis (ggf. muss dieses noch erstellt werden)...

(XP) - C:\Documents and Settings\"your username"\Application Data\Opera\Opera\profile\
(Vista & 7) - C:\Users\"your username"\AppData\Roaming\Opera\Opera\profile\ 
(OSX) - /Users/"your username"/Library/Preferences/Opera Preferences/
(Linux) - ~/.opera/


...musst du folgende (nur ein Beispiel, es gibt auch andere Filterlisten) Datei abspeichern

1. Download:
http://fanboy.co.nz/...a/urlfilter.ini

2. im Browser selber folgende URL eingeben:
opera:config#URL Filter File

und die zuvor abgespeicherte Datei auswählen... :-)

HowTo: FlashBlock install

1. Download:
http://ruzanow.ru/op...lashblocker.zip

2. Entpacke (Unzip) "flashblocker.zip"

3. kopiere "FlashBlocker.css" in deinen Style Ordner \profile\styles\user (den passenden Pfad findest du unter dem Menüpunkt Help->About Opera)

4. kopiere FlashBlocker.js (und FlashBlocker-white-list.js) zu deinem UserJS Verzeichnis \profile\userjs. Wenn du noch einen JavaScript-Verzeichnis hast, erstelle einfach eines und gibt dieses in Opera selber unter "Tools -> Preferences -> Advanced -> Content -> JavaScript Options" an.

5. Starte Opera 10 neu und wähle "Flash blocker" im Menü "View->Style" aus.

6. TEST http://www.macromedi...re/flash/about/

Neue Opera 10.10 Snapshot Build
Buildnummer: 1893 (Windows), 6790 (Mac), 4742 (UNIX/Linux)

Isn't it nice getting builds? So nice in fact we thought you might want one for the weekend! :)

The main fix here is to DSK-271546 (After signing up for a new account, Opera isn't automatically logged in after restart), so please make sure this is working for you.

Jeden Tag eine neue Version, und heute sogar Final, die haben wohl den Turbo Modus aktiviert.

Hat diese Version jetzt "Unite" ?, müsste ja so sein, denn 10.10 sollte ja Unite sein.

Opera 10.5 Internal Build Leaked

Earlier this week, Opera Software had revealed that a special pre-alpha build Opera 10.5 will be unveiled on 22nd December. However, gHacks is reporting that an internal build has already been leaked.

1. Updated skin: Opera has received another facelift. The tab bar has been merged with the titlebar – similar to what we are accustomed to seeing in Google Chrome.

Edit: There are some reports about an old internal build of 10.5 being available. Don't run it, the official build on Tuesday is much better and you don't risk getting nasty trojans on you pc.
